Hello, my name is Joely , but friends call me Jay!
I am a self-taught artist living in Midwest USA. I create traditional media in my spare time (currently teaching myself oil paint!) and work on my web comic sparingly as I am currently in university.
I illustrate, animate, make clothing, and seemingly pick up hobbies on whims… I love to create! You can find my projects in the pages above along with my contact information if you’d like to request a certain tutorial or commission. It’s nice to meet you!
A little more about me….
- I have three pets, a lop rabbit named Artemis, a dwarf rabbit named Cinnamon, and an Indian Ringneck Parakeet named Atari!
- I love the colors strawberry peach and golden yellow.
- I am married to my wonderful husband above as of October 2022!
- I am a book worm, my favorite book being The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas.
- I began teaching myself art when I was 10, but I got my first paint kit for my 2nd birthday!
- Generally my larger scale paintings include a lot of symbolism to personal aspects to my life.
- Sleeplessness (2016) was my first professional, large scale painting, and it was painted on poster paper I got from the dollar tree!
